2024-2025 Volleyball Program Update

In recognition of a significant impact of training and interstate competition events participated in by potential Academy athletes, our local club, and Academy coaching staff during the latter part of 2024, the Academy has decided it is in the best interests of all parties to delay the trials and selection process for the 2024-2025 Volleyball Program.

Further recognition of the Regional Academies of Sport ongoing support of Volleyball NSW Development programs has been taken into consideration to allow appropriate planning for a restructured, yet intense program.

This therefore will result in the Trials for the Academy Volleyball Program to be rescheduled to a date and time in early December 2024, with a program commencement date of February 2025.

The Academy will send the squad to attend the Regional Academy Games in Tamworth during April 2025, with the program now concluding after the NSW Youth Volleyball Championships, usually held in July.

The Academy Volleyball program will continue to host a significant number of sport education, strength and conditioning, on-court training and athlete wellbeing and support opportunities as a part of the 2025 program.

Athletes who turn 14 – 17 in 2025 (born 2008-2011) are encouraged to nominate, with nominations extended until Friday 29 November, 2024.
